New Home Tour – Part 1

Welcome back to Home by Grace!

I never knew how stressful moving from one house to the next is (especially with a not even 1.5 year old just learning to walk) and you never realize how much junk you have until you move. It’s been a busy past few (or several) months.

We closed on our new home on Thursday, July 2nd of 2015. That Saturday, we left for vacation for a week so really didn’t do much until mid-July. After vacation, we cleaned the house and prepped for painting a few rooms – the two rooms we were planning to sleep in and living room were our priority to get us in. Since we were staying with my parents, we didn’t have to rush too much but also were excited to get in as soon as possible.

Here’s a tour of the house prior to moving in.

Entryway

This is our side door entrance. Pretty much the main one we use besides the garage. Straight ahead is an eat-in kitchen area. To the right is the kitchen and to the left is the staircase leading up to the master bedroom.

Eat-in area/living room

This is probably my favorite room in the house. I love natural light and the windows let in so much!

Living room/Playroom

The family renting the house before we bought it was kind enough to let us store some of our larger pieces of furniture in one room. Here it is! 🙂
