Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Grace. I live in a New England style cape house with my husband, 2 boys, a girl and our beagle. For as long as I can remember, I have always had a passion for home decor. Growing up, I had 2 older sisters and 1 younger brother. My bedroom was on the third floor of the home I grew up in. It had a staircase and hallway that led to my bedroom. Every Christmas I would decorate my room and that staircase with garlands and Christmas lights. I loved decorating and Christmas was and still is my favorite! I was so excited to paint my bedroom in high school (a pale lime green ha!) and painted pieces of furniture my mom and I would find on the side of the road to fill my room with. I went to college for Graphic Design and worked as a graphic/website designer for 8 years before having kids.

My husband and I were married in 2010. We bought our first home then which was a total fixer upper that had to be gutted down to the studs. We picked everything out from cabinets to flooring to countertops and everything in between. We made it our own for 5 years before we decided it was time to move into our forever home. We moved into our current house in 2015. This home, like our first, was a bit of a fixer upper but on a different level. It’s a great home that just needs some updating to get it out of the 1980’s. We have done many projects since we moved in that I share here on the blog.

My goal for this blog is to be inspiring and helpful. I hope that the projects I share here, inspire you to tackle a project you’ve been wanting to do in your own home. Many of the projects I share are DIYs and budget friendly. You don’t need loads of money to turn a house into a home. Paint can do wondrous things! I hope you feel inspired when you read my blog!
