Quick, spray painted vintage shutter

I love the look of an old shutter and there’s so much you can do with them!

My father-in-law picked me up this old, green shutter and I knew there were so many possibilities with it so I got to work.

First, I gave it a good sanding! It really needed it because the painted was chipping all over the place.

This shutter actually made me a little nervous because I’m sure that nasty, green paint had lead in it so I made sure to use a mask and gloves.

Next, I started spray painting it Rust-Oleum Heirloom White.

Here’s the final shutter! I love changing the wreath on it for each season!

It’s amazing how a little spray paint can go a long way!
