22 Aug Antiques, Consignments, and Flea Markets. Oh my!
One of my favorite things to do is to explore antique shops! My love for antiques started with the old milk jugs that people have out on their front steps. Shortly after that, I fell in love with the old blue Ball mason jar and their beautiful aqua color! I started researching these items and enjoyed reading about the history behind them. It’s so interesting to learn how people used these items back in the day.
Anyways, I went exploring this week and found some treasures to add to our home.
I found a few pieces of milk glass to add to my collection. I have a bunch of this stuff but only had a few of the hobnail variety which is my favorite.
Next, I picked up a turquoise/aqua glass insulator…
and some old wooden hangers that I could use to hang any number of things. I’m thinking they’ll be great for hanging Andrew’s artwork/crafts someday! 🙂
I also found this turquoise wire mason jar basket. I’ve been on the hunt for turquoise lately but am very picky in selecting the “right” turquoise. I thought this was the “perfect” Tiffany blue color. It’s such a great summer color!
Lastly, this old window. This is the perfect size for one of our walls and I have plans for an upcoming DIY with this baby. Stay tuned!
This post just got me all excited for the Brimfield Flea Market/Antique Show that’s coming up in less than two weeks! What are your favorite antique treasures/shops?

Posted at 01:34h, 02 SeptemberIn recent months I acquired some pretty milk glass pieces. I have to say I’m addicted. They’re so pretty and delicate. Been going to estate sales in the hopes of scoring a few more.
