Home by Grace is back and under a new name: Graceful Farmhouse. The main reason for the name change was for technical reasons. My last blog name was hosted through Wordpress and wasn't an actual available .com domain name so I had to find one that I could purchase to be my own. The other reason for the name change is that Graceful Farmhouse is a better fit for describing the style of this blog and my design style. I love to decorate my home in a farmhouse style...

In part 2 of our home tour, we're moving on up to the second floor. First up, Andrew's bedroom. This was the first room in the house we painted so we could get everything set up for him. Across the hall is another bedroom. This is currently a guest room. Excuse the frog tape container on the floor :) As we go down the hall, we'll come up to the bathroom. Next, is the 3rd bedroom. We are currently using this bedroom while we wait on getting some work done on the...

Welcome back to Home by Grace! I never knew how stressful moving from one house to the next is (especially with a not even 1.5 year old just learning to walk) and you never realize how much junk you have until you move. After vacation, we cleaned the house and prepped for painting...

As you walk up the stairs, I added garland with lights, ribbon and champagne poinsettias to the banisters. On the back of our front door (which is...

It had missing wicker in a few small spots and the red color didn't quite fit in with my decor but it wasn't anything I couldn't take on. Here's the original wicker chair. Not terrible but certainly not great either. See the missing wicker? It took some brainstorming to figure out what I could use to replace the missing wicker pieces. My first thought was skewers but those...

Well, it's officially Fall here in New England and has been for about a month now so I'm a little late in posting this but you'll have to forgive me; still trying to figure out this whole mom thing. :) Fall is probably my second favorite season following Summer. I love the changing colors on the trees; beautiful reds, yellows and oranges. I love how you can bring so many things from outdoors to decorate with; acorns, wheat, twigs, pinecones. Most of all, I love how it's the season...
